Meet Dan

DANIEL NEIL OLSON (Jesus) rejoices in his return to the stage for Huntington University. This 2005 graduate has since taken up residence in Orlando, where he fills his days at the Holy Land Experience as an actor and vocalist. He's also managed to coerce some theatres into allowing him stage time. He terrified tourists rather well as part of Universal Studios' HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS XV, developed split personalities in Theatre Downtown's A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and, quite literally, slayed the audiences in Madcow Theatre's ANTIGONE as Private Jonas. Some of his favorite roles whilst at Huntington include the Leading Player of PIPPIN, the Mad Hatter of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, the Baker of INTO THE WOODS, Harpagon of THE MISER, Daniel of THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SHKSPR (abridged), and all the roles found in his one-man show OF NOT IN. God has ridiculously blessed him, but, fortunately, he's very grateful. He loves his family, friends, enemies, and everyone in between. "Dear heavenly father, please bless and soften the hearts of everyone with ears to hear. Shalom!"

Amber would be impressed. I, for one, am disgusted.

I blow my nose at you...but I'll use the snot rag.

Hello Dan,
My wife and I had the good fortune of seeing the show on 2 occasions during your tour (once in Indianapolis and also at Good Shepherd where we drove with friends for the performance). It is a wonderful production...and this is coming from folks who have seen the show numerous times since the 70's. It gaves us a warm feeling to see commitment to one another and a sense of community with the audience. The basic message of joy and hope can touch all people regardless of their beliefs, and we applaud the cast's efforts. Interestingly, please note that we are a Jewish couple and although our views regarding Jesus may differ, the basic concepts of how we interact with our fellow man are timeless and paramount. We have a Jewish tradition for happy occasions and life-cycle events and perhaps at your prayer before your last show (I'm making an assumption here) you may wish to share with the cast the following Hebrew prayer in celebration of your hard work, your ministry, and your love for one another. Considering your skilled Hebrew pronounciation during the Last Supper scene I know you can handle it!. It is called the Shehechayanu (Blessing for Special Occasions)and in transliteration is the following: Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam shehechayanu v'kiyimanu v'higi'anu laz'man hazeh. (Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and has brought us to this special occasion.) Good luck to the entire cast and crew in your work, school, and all future endeavors. I'm hoping to convince my wife to go to the last performance next Sunday and perhaps we can chat for a moment. Take care and God bless.
Dr. and Mrs. Sklar
